Though it’s happening halfway across the world, Salvation Army fans here in the US are rooting for Takasa – “The Artists Known As Salvation Army” to win the Eurovision Song Contest. Ranging in age from 21 to 95 (the oldest Eurovision contestant ever) the band members are Salvation Army soldiers brought together by a shared gift of music and love of God.

April 10 was the first day the public could visit Orange County Salvation Army thrift stores to view the rooms designed area interior design students who volunteered to be a part of the project. Each student team was assigned a theme and instructed to use furniture and decor from The Salvation Army’s stock of donated items. The only thing new in each ‘room’ was the paint on the walls, generously provided by Sherwin-Williams.
